WHO WE ARE

We are a non-denominational, faith-based home mission agency seeking to make a difference in America’s spiritual landscape. Currently, there are more than 325 missionaries serving in U.S. missions with the valuable assistance of 7,000 volunteers. Our missionaries serve under several different programs: area missionary (oversees outreaches and church plants in several communities), church missionary (pastors a mission church and assists in missionary outreach to surrounding communities), Learning Community missionary (establishes evangelistic Learning Communities to reach unchurched people and to train local leadership), youth missionary (works alongside an area missionary to reach and disciple teens through church and Christian camping ministries), children’s missionary (concentrates on reaching pre-teens through children’s ministries), mission partner (serves part-time, up to 29 hours a week, to accomplish any of the above ministries), and summer missionary (young people sixteen years old and older who serve alongside our missionaries in Bible camps and Vacation Bible Schools). All missionaries serve under the leadership of one of our eight regional directors (RDs) strategically located across the USA. The RDs account to the director of ministry resources, who serves alongside the director of financial resources at the AMF Home Office in Villanova, Pennsylvania. These Home Office directors, with their managers and administrative staff, serve under the leadership of the Executive Director, who reports to the Board of Trustees.

Info on the local area:

Villanova, Pennsylvania, a suburb of Philadelphia, is most notably home to
Villanova University, but it has much more to offer. The area has all the
conveniences of a typical suburb but maintains its distinct character and
charm. Radnor Township, whose population in the 2000 census was 30,878, is
the governing municipality of AMF's Home Office. The mission's
building, designed by architect Horace Trumbauer, is just one of many
picturesque mansions tucked into the township's wooded rolling hills just
off major highways leading to Philadelphia, Lancaster, Reading, and other
Pennsylvania communities.
